Halloween week in Clinton is packed with family-friendly fun, beginning with the return of The Haunting of Olde Towne (H.O.O.T.) and the annual Howl-o-ween at the Bark Park.

H.O.O.T. will take place Thursday, October 30, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Lions Club Park, bringing back all of the creepy, crawly, and fun festivities residents know and love. Trick-or-treaters can enjoy carnival games with candy and toy prizes, costume contests for kids sixteen and under, a treat walk on stage, a haunted tunnel, and plenty of inflatable attractions for little ones to enjoy. Families can also stop by the photo booth hosted by Spectacular Moments of Mississippi to capture memories, or visit the Crown Club tent for festive face painting.

Adding to the excitement, Turner the Train will be circling Olde Towne throughout the evening, while The Depot will feature surprise meet-and-greet characters for kids to discover. A variety of food vendors—Sweet Mama’s Kountry Kitchen, Dad’s Dogs, and Sno Biz—will be on site serving up delicious treats.

East Leake Street will be closed from East Street to the railroad tracks beginning at 3:00 p.m. on the day of the event. Attendees should enter through the intersection of East Street and East Leake Street. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Halloween celebrations continue the weekend before with Howl-o-ween at the Bark Park on Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m. Dog-loving Clintonians are invited to bring their leashed pets for a morning of fun, including doggie trick-or-treats and a costume contest. Categories will include small, medium, large, and people/pet combo, with prizes awarded to winners in each group. Judging begins promptly at 10:15 a.m., and the event is free to attend.

From haunted tunnels and candy-filled games to wagging tails and creative costumes, there’s something for everyone in Clinton this Halloween season. Come out and enjoy a week of spooktacular community fun!
