Clinton Honoring our Hometown Heroes with Banner Program
The City of Clinton will be presenting a veterans banner program entitled “Honoring Our Heroes”, created for the community to recognize and honor all Clinton Veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces - Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, National Guard, and Reserve units - with courage and compassion.
The patriotic-design banners are heavy vinyl, 24” wide x 54” long, printed on both sides, and display the veterans’ photograph in uniform. The banners will include rank, full name, branch of the military, and the era, or the years of service. The banners will be displayed on the light poles that line the Clinton Parkway from Springridge Road to Northside Drive and also on the light poles that line Highway 80 from Springridge Road to Clinton Raymond Road. First-come basis will be observed for all interested participants based on the number of light poles available each year. New participants will see their banner for the first time on Memorial Day 2021 and will be seen again on other patriotic holidays in 2021. Once you participate in the Veterans Banner Program your banner will continue to hang each year on patriotic holidays as long as the program is in place by the city.
Each participant will be required to: (1) complete a banner order form with veteran information, (2) Provide a high-resolution quality headshot photograph of the veteran in uniform. Photograph must be sent in a JPEG file as an attachment
to firstname.lastname@example.org, and (3) make payment of $200.00 for each banner, by cash or check payable to: City of Clinton. The banner order form can be downloaded here or can be picked up at the Clinton Visitor Center located at 1300 Pinehaven Road.
Each participant should turn in his banner order form in person to Marsha Barham, Director Clinton Visitor Center, along with payment by cash or check payable to: City of Clinton and email a high-resolution photo in a JEPEG file as an attachment to email@example.com. For questions please contact Marsha Barham by calling 601-924-2221 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for submitting all forms to the visitor center to be included in Memorial Day 2021 is Friday, March 26, 2021.
