Clinton operates as a Code Charter form of government, divided into six Wards. The local governing body consists of the mayor, six aldermen representing each of the six wards and one alderman-at-large whose duty is to represent the entire community.
Alderwoman-at-Large Ricki Garrett was elected to her first term in 2017. Garrett represents the entire city and is elected through a city wide popular vote.
Keith was elected in 2017 to his first term as Alderman for Ward 4.
