The City of Clinton contracts with the private sector for collection of household waste, yard waste and recycling services. The current contract is with Waste Management. The monthly fee is $14.50 for single-family homes throughout the contract period. Household garbage is collected twice a week with curbside rubbish and yard waste collected once a week.
For your area collection schedule call 601-924-2239, 601-924-5462 or Waste Management 601-923-5145. All items must be ready for collection by 7 a.m. on designated day. In weeks that include a holiday, collection after a holiday is made on the next regular scheduled day. Check the local newspaper or call the Public Works Office for holiday schedule. Sand, dirt, gravel, concrete, bricks, stone, steel poles, sheet rock, ceramic tile, gutters, fencing and auto parts will not be collected. Homeowners must dispose of these items to a private landfill. |
