Crime Prevention
The Clinton Police Department has crime prevention programs available to the citizens of Clinton as listed below. For additional information, please contact the Police Department at 601-924-5252 or policedept@clintonms.org.

Refuse to be a Victim

Refuse to be a Victim is a program that explores what citizens can do to make it more difficult for a criminal to prey upon them.

H.E.A.T. (Help End Auto Theft)

H.E.A.T. is a volunteer decal program designed to reduce vehicle thefts in residential and commercial areas. Citizens that enroll in this program certify that their vehicle is not normally operated between 1:00 am and 5:00 am. Police officers that see vehicles with the H.E.A.T. decal between these hours are authorized to stop these vehicles and investigate.

Community Watch

Community Watch is a program that teaches citizens techniques, such as how to recognize the risk of being victimized, the importance of recognizing suspicious activities and how to report them, and how to make their homes more secure. Community watch unites citizens to address issues that concern the entire community.
