The City of Clinton water customers are fortunate because they enjoy an abundant water supply from two excellent quality ground water sources, the Sparta and Cockfield aquifers. We pump this water from nine deep wells, of which six pull from the Sparta and three from the Cockfield aquifers. The City Of Clinton has a total of five elevated storage tanks with a combined capacity of 2.9 million gallons of drinking water. The average daily consumption for 2017 was 3.5 million gallons, which travel through approximately 175 miles of water mains.
