Tactical
S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons And Tactics) – For several years the Clinton Police Department has maintained a specialized tactical unit. Members of this unit are volunteers that are trained in the skills necessary to handle critical situations, from the service of high-risk warrants to hostage situations.
E.O.D. (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) – The members of this unit are highly trained officers who have volunteered to take on this extremely dangerous mission. These officers are trained to effectively deal with bomb threats and suspected explosive devices. This unit receives funding from the Federal Government and works closely with Homeland Security. This unit responds to E.O.D. investigations throughout the region.
