The Clinton Fire Department provides emergency response, fire prevention and safety training, and public education. The Department is a non-patient transport department providing Advanced and Basic Life Support.

Emergency Medical Service

The Clinton Fire Department is a non-patient transport department, providing Advanced and Basic Life Support to the citizens. Paramedics use the most state-of-the-art equipment available including Pulse Oximetry and 12-Lead EKGs.

All Paramedics are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support and Advanced Medical Life Support.

Fire Prevention Program

The City of Clinton has adopted the 2006 International Building Code and 2006 International Fire Code. The department provides annual inspections for businesses. To schedule a fire inspection, call 925-1015 between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm or email at fgreen@clintonms.org.

Open Burning Permits

All open burning requires a permit. Call the fire marshal at 925-1015 to obtain a permit.

Homeowner Burn Permits

Homeowners may burn limbs only. Burning trash or leaves is not permitted. To obtain a burn permit, call 925-1001.

Hydrant Flow Testing

Hydrant flow testing for construction projects or for sprinkler systems may be arranged by calling 925-1015.

Training Programs

Training programs for all employees include fire suppression, emergency medical services, HAZMAT (hazardous materials response team), dive rescue, confined space rescue and rope rescue. Call 925-1013 or e-mail cgraham@clintonms.org.

Public Education
